The KIMS Library was envisioned as a minimalist and modern learning environment that reflects the institute’s vision of accessible and quality healthcare education. The design combines neutral tones, curved forms, and natural light to create calm, functional spaces. Inspired by the Puri Jagannath Chariot, each floor—Vachanalaya, Garuda Dhwaja, Taladhwaja, Padmadhwaja, and E-Pustakalaya—embodies a distinct identity through colour and form.

Accentuated with red, yellow, cyan, and black palettes, the interiors feature waffle ceilings, acoustic surfaces, and cloud lighting to foster focus and interaction. The layout integrates reading lounges, digital learning zones, and staff areas, transforming the library into a dynamic hub for medical learning and research. This project redefines the academic library as a space for collaboration, reflection, and continuous discovery.
